Labor rates are by the job essentially.
These are guesses and not gaurentees NOT ESTIMATES people often ask so this is data based on average costs for customers but the truth is it depends until you get into the job and do the job it is really not possible to be certain on a price. Estimates require legal binding contracts and are available as a paid service and prices will vary. Cost of a laywer, legal forms come into play.

Onsite Labor (My Shop/Office): Best guess between 25.00 to 50.00 per hour for computer repair. Board level repair, devices, screen replacement, expensive equipment, devices, board level, and other repairs and diagnostics may cost more. By the Job depends on the job.
Onsite Minimum Charge: 25.00 no matter how long it takes or how difficult this is the minimum charge.
Offsite Minumum Charge: 50.00 + .50 per mile round trip no matter how long it takes this is the minium charge. Guess on labor rates is 50.00 to 140.00 per hour. Risk/Difficulty/Distance prices are by the job ultimately this is just a guess.
On rare occasion we accept slightly more distant jobs amenities, food, lodging, car rental must be covered as well as knowing there will be an even higher job rate cause risk is exponential and travel time the further away you get the more expensive everything becomes.
No out of country work allowed.
OFFSITE WORK IS TYPICALLY DONE EVENING HOURS FROM ROUGHLY 3:30PM-8PM MONDAY-FRIDAY SATURDAYS AS NEEDED UNLESS YOU HAVE A LARGER PROJECT WE MAY USE THE WEEKEND SATURDAY IF NEED BE.
Determination of job cost
Some ideas of how risk/difficulty/cost is assessed.
- Type of work being done.
- Home or business valuation figures into risk.
- Difficulty of the customer. Needs more than stated. Has many personal specifications to be met after we agree to the scope. Helicopter customers that could get injured while we are working. Causes loss of business or works for a 3rd party to do the same. Infers that trouble is related to how we carried out installation when it is not. And expects us to troubleshoot connectivity or one off issues with the product freely.
- Before doing work we expect you tell us everything obsticles, personal specs such as trying to hide wire don’t assume nothing your satisfaction depends on the information you provide as does the cost.
- Price guesses by email, text, or word of mouth are NOT ESTIMATES. Estimates require your signature and a contract. We have to limit risks of projects that turn expensive and charge accordingly if issues arise. We reserve this right to remain competitive in price.
- If it needs a ladder it costs more, the higher the job the higher the risk.
- Jobs/Travel done in poor weather figure into risk.
- Drilling holes in structures and walls present risks such as pipes and electrical. So please let us know of any such issues or structural issues that may exist ahead of time.
- Digging (Requires Diggers Hotline.) As well as all knowledge of things added by you or previous owners such as but not limited to water, wire, gas, septic, communications.
- Working next to power lines is very high risk we reserve the right to refuse such work.
- Working on expensive equipment poses a higher risk.
- Pets, people, and property working with or alongside any of the 3 p’s does incur a higher risk in many cases and could lead to damage or injury.
- All forms of difficulty and risk are considered. Your bill is your bill. We will not itemize risk or anything. The bill will be based on the job and everything is figured in. We may itemize parts at your request if needed. Risk will not be itemized it is included in labor costs and what that cost is that cost is.
AFTER SERVICE SUPPORT
Another paid service we offer. We can stay hourly for a few hours and bill you for a few extra hours running tests and making sure things don’t happen or we can simply just charge you when a problem arises. Most prefer just to pay only if there is a problem later for our help rather than for us to stay and see if issues present themselves. But if you’d like to pay us to stay longer that can be arranged.
Tech products can be finnicky, badly designed, sometimes. Nature, kids, account issues, connectivity issues, security issues, software issues, hardware issues, passwords, data, and backups of data we assume ZERO liability for that is ownership responsibility or a full time job paid hourly. We never ask for payment if things are not working as they should and the job is unfinished the only thing we may require is parts costs. Something to keep in mind!
We live in a much different world than it was 10 years ago! Things cost more by double and wage hasn’t kept up so we can no longer provide free support, and live call assistance and keep our prices competitive. Also if we hire call centers to answer your calls they have the side effect of collecting and selling your data. Our answer machine is our answering machine not delegated to a call center which will collect and sell your data.
ORDERING AND PARTS:
There has to be a markup on all parts ordered. We no longer do no markup. We must charge more than what we pay in the event we have to return or stock an item. There is also a cost associated with having business accounts and doing transactions both yearly and at the bank. In stock parts may cost substantially more than what you can order them for. Prices fluctuate so crazy for electronics, a year later something can be 1/2 of the price or more in either direction. You can order your own equipment but be advised we don’t and won’t warranty anything in such cases no partial equipment warranties. Extra trips as a result of your parts ordering will incur more labor and travel cost. You may need to make a deposit for parts as well.
PICKUP & DELIVERY
Pickup is possible. 10.00 plus .50 per mile from when I leave until when I get back to office round trip.
Delivery is the same rate.
